Ride with Kite Adventures Watamu
IKO-certified instruction, based in Watamu.
Kite Adventures Watamu is run by Ben Aguero, who was born and raised on Kenya's Watamu coast and discovered kitesurfing on a trip to Zanzibar before earning his certifications and bringing the sport home. The school is a small, licensed Kenyan company — a team of IKO-certified instructors who live for the wind and the waves on Watamu's reef-protected coastline, teaching everyone from complete beginners (most first-time visitors to Watamu are) to advanced riders.

Every course we run, from a first taster to private coaching.

Flights and visa not included — everything else on the ground is.

Ben was born and raised in the coastal town of Watamu, Kenya. His love for the ocean sparked early on, leading him to discover kitesurfing during a trip to Zanzibar, Tanzania — where he learned the sport alongside a close friend and soon started teaching others himself, eventually earning his own certifications and opening Kite Adventures Watamu.
