How it started
I'm a Thai kitesurfer, based in Thailand, and I found the sport in my 30s, probably a bit later than most people. For the first few years I was just happy to go left and right without falling. Then I started travelling to kite spots around the world, and it opened up a whole new world: every place had its own wind, water, culture and community. Kitesurfing stopped being just a sport and became a different way to see the world.
Eventually I made a big decision. I left a high-paying corporate tech job and went into kitesurfing full-time. I tried a few different things, but I kept coming back to what made me happiest: bringing people together and taking them to windy places. That's how Secret Knots began. These days I'm not only finding new spots for other riders, I'm also pushing myself to go higher and bigger on the kite.
What “explore the unknown” means to us
There are places and experiences in the kitesurfing world you'll never find on a normal holiday. We look for them, and we build trips where the wind, the adventure and the group matter as much as the destination.
Some of our trips are beginner-friendly weeks with a local partner school and rentals. Others, like Okinawa, are for advanced riders with their own gear, so we can stay ahead of the main-season crowd.
Where we've been and where we're going
We've already run trips to Sri Lanka, and you can read what the riders who came say on the trips page. Next we're scouting Zhunan for around mid-November, and a coaching camp in Phan Rang. Nothing is confirmed yet, so neither is open for booking.
