By plane
Samui International Airport (USM) has direct flights from Bangkok and other cities in the region. It sits a few minutes by car from Bangrak Beach, so you can be on the water on the day you land.
By ferry
From the mainland, car and passenger ferries cross from the Surat Thani area to Koh Samui in about one and a half hours; buses and trains from Bangkok connect to them. Fast boats link Koh Samui with Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
