About Deltakitesup
Deltakitesup is a kitesurf, wing foil, hydrofoil and paddle surf school in Sant Carles de la Ràpita, on Spain's Delta del Ebro. With more than 15 years of experience, its instructors are certified by the IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) and the FEV (Spanish Sailing Federation), teaching all ages and levels from beginner to advanced. The school also offers equipment rental, repairs and self-catering apartments for students staying in the area.

How long does it take to become an independent kiteboarder?
On average, students need between 9 and 12 hours of class to reach independent Level 3 kiteboarding.
What course formats are available?
Private lessons (one student per instructor), semi-private lessons (two students) and group lessons (up to three students) are all available, with private and semi-private recommended for the fastest progress.
Do you offer sessions for intermediate riders who already know the basics?
Yes, supervision and progression sessions are available for riders with some experience.
How many hours of lessons are recommended per day?
A daily session of three hours of class is recommended.
Where do lessons take place?
Lessons take place at Playa del Trabucador and Playa de Riumar, both approved riding areas year-round.
Does the IKO certification cost extra?
No, the certification card is free and is issued once the kitesurf course is completed.
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No personal equipment is required — the school provides kites, bars, boards, and safety gear. Water shoes and a personal wetsuit are recommended.
Can I book a single class instead of a full course?
Yes, individual classes are available in addition to full multi-hour courses.
