About EasyDrop Surf Camp
Founded in 1998, EasyDrop is a pioneer of surf education in Brazil, based in Itacaré, Bahia. The camp teaches through its own EasyDrop Method, a progressive surf-teaching methodology, with lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced surfers. Instructors hold certification from Surfing Australia and CBS, the Brazilian Surfing Confederation, along with first aid training.

Is there a minimum age to take lessons?
Yes, lessons welcome students of any gender from age 7, provided they meet the school's enrollment criteria.
What is the student-to-instructor ratio?
There is at least one instructor for every three students.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancelling before a package starts refunds 70% of the total cost, though deposits of up to 30% of the price are non-refundable. No refund is given once the package has started, though unused services are generally credited toward a future trip.
Can I rent a board without taking a course?
No, boards are only used under instructor supervision to protect equipment quality for students.
What accommodation options are available?
Guests can choose between a pousada, a boutique hotel, and self-catering apartment-style lodging, all about five minutes from the town center.
What is the best time of year to surf in Itacaré?
Itacaré has consistent waves year-round, so beginners can learn in almost any season, though the biggest swells arrive in winter. The school's favorite surf seasons are March/April and October/November, while beginners often prefer the window from November to April.
Can I book just the surf lessons without accommodation?
Yes. The minimum booking is four surf days, not counting the arrival day, departure day, or Sundays, which are a rest day.
Are meals included in the surf packages?
Breakfast is included at the pousada, but the other accommodation options do not include meals, so students typically buy or bring their own food and snacks.
