Ebrokite teaches kitesurfing and wingfoiling on the calm, current-free waters of the Embalse del Ebro reservoir, and is regarded as one of the leading kitesurf and wingfoil schools in northern Spain. What does a kitesurf course involve?
Courses have two parts: students first practice with small training kites on land to build control and safety skills without a board, then progress to larger kites for water exercises and board riding.
Why learn kitesurfing at the Embalse del Ebro?
The reservoir has no waves or currents and a consistent depth that lets students stand up at any time, with no swimmers to avoid and ample space on land to practice.
Is there a minimum age for lessons?
Water lessons require students to be at least 8 years old and able to swim. Children from age 5 can fly training kites on land with adult supervision.
What should I bring to a course?
Comfortable spare clothes, sunglasses with a strap, sunscreen and a sweater for temperature changes. The school provides kites, harnesses, wetsuits and other equipment.
Are courses offered every day?
Courses run on any day with wind, including weekends and holidays, based on the school's own local wind forecasting.
What happens if there is no wind?
Instructors wait before cancelling a session; students can then reschedule, receive a refund, or pay only for the portion of the course completed.
