About Gary's Surf School
Founded in 1989 by Gary Kleynhans, Gary's Surf School is South Africa's first dedicated surf school and has operated from the same Muizenberg beachfront location for more than 35 years. The school teaches surfers of all ages and skill levels and offers a money-back guarantee if a student does not stand up during a lesson. It also ran a community program that trained local youth as surf instructors.
