About Kite Pirates
Kite Pirates is a kitesurfing and wing foiling operator based in Hurghada on Egypt's Red Sea, built by locals who grew up riding the local waters. Rather than positioning itself as a conventional kite school, it runs all-inclusive 'Pirates Week' packages limited to 10 guests per week, combining kite or wing foil courses with accommodation, full-board meals, transport and extra activities such as island trips, a downwind run and a sunset session. Do I need prior experience?
No experience is needed; Kite Pirates welcomes complete beginners through to advanced riders.
What is the minimum age?
Kitesurfing starts at age 12 with a minimum weight of 30 kg; all other activities are open to all ages.
Is equipment provided?
Bringing your own equipment or renting it for €350 per week are both options; using your own gear earns a €150 discount on the Pirate and Captain packages.
What languages do instructors teach in?
Lessons are taught primarily in English, with German and Russian also available.
What is the cancellation policy?
A deposit is refunded in full 30 or more days before arrival, 50% refunded 15-29 days before, non-refundable with one free reschedule 7-14 days before, and non-refundable with no reschedule under 7 days; if the issue is on Kite Pirates' side, a full refund is given regardless.
