About Madeira New Wave
Madeira New Wave is a surf, bodyboard and yoga school based in Porto da Cruz on Madeira's north coast, led by CEO Carina Carvalho, a Portuguese Surfing Federation certified surf coach and former Madeira regional bodyboard champion. The school teaches beginners through advanced riders across several locations on the island and partners with local providers for other nature-sport activities.

- Carina finished 4th nationally and 6th in the European Tour (ETB) in 2013
- Carina placed 13th in the 2015 World Tour and 12th in the 2016 World Tour (APB)

Do I need previous surfing experience?
No previous surfing experience is required.
How long does a lesson last?
Lessons include a 2-hour surfing session in the water, with a safety briefing and warm-up beforehand.
What happens in bad weather?
Lessons may be rescheduled or relocated if conditions are unsafe.
