Fundada en 2020 en Tarifa, Matos Tarifa es una escuela de kitesurf certificada IKO/FAV especializada en el coaching individualizado: clases particulares y semiprivadas con seguimiento por radio en tiempo real, y una furgoneta móvil que rastrea el viento cada día para situarte en el mejor spot del momento. Cada alumno progresa sobre la Tiki, nuestra tabla propia, elaborada artesanalmente en madera de paulownia. Nuestro compromiso: sin viento, sin cobro.

How many hours does it take to learn kitesurfing?
On average, 12 to 15 hours of lessons are enough to become an independent kitesurfer. Being independent means riding safely and being able to go upwind in any condition. Progress depends on the type of course, your experience, and your physical condition. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and we will guide you through all stages of your training until independence.
At what age can you start kitesurfing?
Children can start kitesurfing from 7 years old and with a minimum weight of 30 kg. We offer kitesurfing lessons in Tarifa specifically adapted for children. Equipment suited to their size and weight. Duration and pace adapted to age and motivation. Kitesurfing develops coordination, confidence, and respect for nature.
When is the best time for kitesurfing in Tarifa?
From March to November for beginner courses, all year round for advanced riders. Tarifa benefits from over 300 windy days per year. March to November: ideal conditions for learning. Winter: Poniente dominates with more waves; lessons are still possible, but the weather is more variable.
