About NaneaKite
NaneaKite is a kitesurf, surf and wingfoil school founded by Abdellah El Habch (Abdou), a professional kitesurfer, on the main beach of Essaouira, Morocco. The school teaches all levels from beginner to advanced and runs multi-day residential camps with accommodation in a traditional riad in the medina.

What is the best season for kitesurfing?
The kitesurf season in Essaouira runs from mid-February until the end of December.
From what age can children take lessons?
Children can start surfing from around age 8 and kitesurfing from around age 12, depending on build and swimming ability.
What is included in a kitesurf lesson?
The kite, bar and lines, board, harness, wetsuit, helmet and impact vest, plus insurance.
What happens if there is no wind?
Alternative activities such as surf coaching, paddleboarding or cultural excursions are offered instead; no partial refunds are issued.

Surfing is the easiest to try in just one session and doesn't need wind, kitesurfing takes longer to learn, and wingfoiling suits people who already have some board experience.
How far in advance should I book?
