About Surfastur
Surfastur has taught surfing at Playa de Xagó in Gozón, Asturias since 2011, running lessons for all ages and levels. The school is affiliated with the Asturian Surf Federation and is led by head instructor Pipa, a former Surfing Champion of Asturias and Spain. Lessons take place on a beach break considered one of the most consistent in Asturias, with rideable waves year-round.

Do I need any prior surfing experience?
No — the program adapts to every level, so both first-timers and experienced surfers get lessons suited to their ability.
Do I need to know how to swim?
Swimming ability is preferred but not required; instructors supervise students at all times, in and out of the water.
Is there a lifeguard on the beach?
Yes — lifeguards are on duty daily from July 15 to September 8.
What should I bring to a lesson?
Just a towel, flip-flops and swimwear — clean, dry wetsuits and all other equipment are provided.
Can I use my own surf equipment?
Yes, though instructors will check that it is suitable before the lesson.
How do I book a lesson?
Reservations are made by WhatsApp or email with your full name, ID number, preferred class times, and number of participants.
