How long does it take to learn kiteboarding?

Most beginners are up and riding within 9 to 12 hours of lessons, spread across about three days.

Will I be riding on the first day?

Riding on day one is possible but not typical; most students first see the board after about 6 hours, once wind dynamics, kite flying and body dragging are mastered.

What is the difference between private and group lessons?

Private lessons offer full one-on-one practice time, while group lessons require participants to have a weight difference of no more than 30 to 40 lbs (15 to 20 kg) so the kite size suits everyone.

Can I rent kiteboarding equipment?

Equipment rental is available to independent riders who can launch and land a kite, ride upwind, relaunch from the water and self-rescue, with at least one to two years of kiteboarding experience recommended.
