About Hawa Safaga | Kite & Surf
Hawa Safaga | Kite & Surf continues the former Club Nathalie Simon & Fun Kite Station at Menaville Resort in Safaga, Egypt ("Hawa" means wind in Arabic). The school teaches kitesurfing in groups of up to two students, backed by Zodiac boat support, across two flat-water spots: Hawa Platform in Soma Bay and Hawa Station in Safaga Bay.

Do I need previous experience to start a kitesurfing course?
No previous experience is needed. Courses start at IKO Level 1 (Discovery) for complete beginners and progress toward IKO Level 3 (Independent) riding.
What is included in a course price?
Full kitesurfing equipment and Zodiac boat transport to the teaching spot are included in every course.
What languages are lessons taught in?
Each course is taught in a single language, chosen from English, German, French or Arabic.
Is accommodation arranged for me?
Yes, accommodation can be booked through the school at partner hotels within a short walk or ride of the station, priced from about €8 to €50 per person per night depending on season and meal plan.
Can I do a downwind ride as part of my stay?
Yes, guests can join a free accompanied downwind ride of about 6-7 km back to the station.
