Kitesurf Roma was founded by one of Italy's kitesurfing pioneers, who began learning the sport around 1999 when it was still virtually unknown in the country. The school has grown into a team of federation-certified instructors teaching along the Roman coast at spots including Ostia, Fregene, Torvaianica and Ardea. Several of its instructors sit on the Italian Sailing Federation's Kitesurfing Commission and helped draft the sport's national regulations.
