About Lucky Fish Surf Guides

Lucky Fish Surf Guides is a surf travel and coaching company based in Cape St Francis, in South Africa's Eastern Cape. It was co-founded by lifelong local surfer Matt Davis and former Springbok surfer and South African Masters Champion Simon Fish. The company offers private and group surf lessons, guided sessions, and multi-day surf camps and tours along the Eastern Cape coast.

What should I bring on a surf camp or trip?

Guests should bring a surfboard, wetsuit, surf accessories, hiking or training shoes, sunscreen, travel insurance, a towel, and beachwear and swimwear.

Can I book as a solo traveler?

Both solo travelers and groups are welcome.

What is the best time of year to book?

April to September is the recommended booking period.

Are flights included?

Flights are not included. Guests book their own flights, and the team arranges logistics after arrival.

What is the deposit and cancellation policy?

A 25% deposit secures the booking dates and is non-refundable. The remaining 75% is due 60 days before departure, and cancellations within 60 days of arrival are non-refundable.
