About PDC Kiteboarding
PDC Kiteboarding was founded in 2007 on Coco Beach in Playa del Carmen, in a protected bay shielded by two outer reefs. The school was created to move away from high-volume 'kiteboarding factories,' focusing instead on individual progression toward safe, independent riding. Its IKO-certified, multi-lingual instructors teach kiteboarding, wing foil and hydrofoil, and the school is also an authorized dealer for Slingshot and North Kiteboarding equipment.

PDC Kiteboarding — common questions
How many students does the school teach per instructor?
Lessons are mostly private or in groups with a maximum of 2-3 students per instructor; larger groups of up to 4 can be accommodated for friends or families.
What skills do I need before taking lessons?
Swimming ability and confidence in deep water are required, and 2-3 hours of trainer kite practice beforehand is recommended.
What happens on no-wind days?
The school offers SUP, windsup, wakeboarding, snorkeling, PADI scuba diving and land-based tours as alternatives.
What is required to secure a booking?
A $50 USD deposit is required, fully refundable if lessons cannot take place due to insufficient wind.
