About ProCenter Tommy Friedl
Founded in 1989, ProCenter Tommy Friedl runs windsurfing, wingfoiling and kitesurfing centers in Egypt, including a location at El Naaba on the beach of the Hotel Three Corners Equinox near Marsa Alam. The center combines a watersports school and equipment rental base with a beach club atmosphere, and also serves as an official test center for board, sail and kite brands.

Is a kite license required to rent equipment?
Yes, renting kite equipment requires a VDWS or IKO kite license. At the Marsa Alam kite lagoon the minimum is level 3, while hightech gear and the beach spot directly at the center require level 5.
What if I don't have a kite license?
You can take a supervised test on site, where an instructor confirms your level, or take the VDWS license locally.
Is insurance included with equipment rental?
Insurance is not included. The center recommends the VDWS SafetyTool.
What happens on a no-wind day?
A day with wind under 12 knots where the rented gear goes unused earns a 50% voucher as a voluntary promotion, requested at check-out.
What is the maximum group size for courses?
Courses run with a maximum of 4 people per group; if no group forms, the course runs as a private lesson instead.
