About Riah Kite Academy
Riah Kite Academy is an IKO-certified kite school on a shallow lagoon in El Gouna, on Egypt's Red Sea coast. The school combines kitesurfing, wing foil and SUP instruction with a beachfront kite house, restaurant and co-working space. Riah has trained students from over 30 countries and welcomes around 10,000 guests per year with a team of 75 staff.

Yes, the shallow, flat-water lagoon at Riah Kite Academy is only 0.6-1 metre deep, so students can stand up at any point during their lesson.
What safety measures are in place during kitesurfing lessons?
Instructors are IKO certified and provide safety briefings, equipment checks and weather monitoring, with a rescue boat always present.
What happens if there's no wind on the day of my lesson?
If wind conditions are unsuitable for kitesurfing, the lesson is rescheduled for another day at no extra cost.
