Do I have to be in great shape?
Swimming is the only prerequisite; no athletic background is required to take lessons.
Is kiteboarding too extreme for me?
As with skiing or snowboarding, riders can choose their speed, equipment and conditions to suit their ability level. The school teaches riders aged 14 to 70 and up using gradual, adaptive techniques.
What about winging?
Winging has quickly become popular in La Ventana. It resembles windsurfing but uses smaller equipment and no lines, making it a safer option, and fit individuals can progress significantly within a couple of days.
Do I need strong arms?
Kiteboarding places little strain on the body. Winging and parawinging require some arm strength at first, but harnesses can be used at intermediate levels.
Should I kite, wing or parawing?
Kiteboarding allows higher jumps and speed, winging offers quicker progression and finesse, and parawinging suits only experienced practitioners.
Is this dangerous?
During lessons a personal watercraft and trained instructor stay close and watch the student at all times, and instruction takes place only in safe, consistent wind conditions.
Should I tow foil?
Tow foiling allows practice on windless days using the same equipment as winging or kiteboarding, with advanced lessons available.
What about group lessons?
Custom group packages are available for multiple participants, potentially at a preferred location if wind conditions permit.
