About CADES - Centro de Aprendizagem e Desenvolvimento do Surfe
Founded in 1998, CADES (Centro de Aprendizagem e Desenvolvimento do Surfe) is one of Brazil's most traditional surf schools, based in Rio de Janeiro. The non-profit has trained more than 1,000 students since it began and has worked with nationally and internationally recognized surfing athletes. Lessons combine on-land and in-water instruction with video analysis, led by directors Henry Ajdelsztajn and Luiz Antonio Azevedo, both physical education teachers.
